The Notary
The Notary is a band with a mission: to prove rock ’n’ roll isn’t dead. But creating genuine, original music that combines elements of rock, indie, blues, reggae and even country is not always an easy task. Nevertheless, it is exactly what this South Florida four-piece has set out to do.
Hailing from Deerfield Beach, Fla., Jimi, Jay, Adam and Mark first began playing together in the fall of 2006. Initially, the band was just a musical experiment and a way to kill some time. However, countless rehearsals/jam sessions quickly spawned a wealth of songs that the group simply could not ignore. When the first show offer came their way, the four still had not chosen a name. Fueled by both a growing outside interest and a repertoire of music, The Notary was officially born in November 2006.
For the four members of The Notary, playing music is simply a labor of love. This close-knit band, consisting of two cousins, a brother-in-law and a close friend, has set its sights on the local music scene and beyond. The revival has begun.
